The air quality indicator ( AQI) for Lahore registered at 320 in the morning, while Karachi followed nearly with an AQI of 244.
Smart Lockdown on 10 Districts of Punjab Due to Fog:
Notably, smog, characterized by a combination of smoke and fog, had seen a significant reduction when the caretaker Punjab government implemented a decisive measure by imposing a smart lockdown on 10 districts of Punjab late last month.
Still, despite these sweats, the megacity remains shrouded in haze. Medical professionals have explosively recommended the use of face masks as respiratory issues have surged due to the inhalation of weakened air. The situation underscores the ongoing challenges posed by environmental factors in civic areas.
