With the grace of Almighty Allah, he will continue performing his duties and adhering to the oath he took for his office.”
The Supreme Court expressed surprise at the premature disclosure of the document, which was sealed in an envelope and shared with the media even before reaching the chief justice’s office.
The press release details the receipt of the seven-page application, along with 77 attached pages, on December 1 at 12:25 pm. Notably, the document, encompassing 84 pages in total, lacked information on the lawyer’s identity and contact details who drafted it.
Chief Justice Says:
Despite effective representation by lawyers associated with recent significant cases before the apex court, the document raises questions about transparency and the absence of essential information. The letter alleged that individuals supporting him were facing persecution and arrests in an overt attempt to manipulate and distort the country’s political landscape.
