Court Again Issues Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant for Marriyum Aurangzeb
Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court Reissues Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant for Marriyum Aurangzeb, Cancels Warrant for Javed Lati Marriyum Aurangzeb Lahore, November 25, 2023 – In a recent development, the Anti-Terrorism Court( ATC) of Lahore has formerly again issued anon-bailable arrest leave for former Information Minister and PML- N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb.
The leave stems from a case in which PML- N leaders, including Aurangzeb and Javed Latif, are indicted of inciting abomination against state institutions.
During the court hearing presided over by ATC Judge Abhar Gull, PML-N leader Javed Latif made his appearance and duly marked his attendance. However, she was absent from the proceedings.
Consequently, the court, deeming her non-compliance, issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aurangzeb and summoned her to appear on the next scheduled hearing. Meanwhile, the previously issued non-bailable arrest warrant for Javed Latif was canceled.
The court has instructed PML-N leader Latif and other implicated individuals to attend the next hearing on December 9, and the case has been adjourned accordingly.
The charges against the PML-N leaders revolve around allegations of instigating animosity against state institutions.
