Tragedy Strikes Karachi’s Shopping Mall: 11 Dead, Numerous Injured in Devastating Fire
In a heart- wrenching incident on Saturday morning, a massive fire gulfed amulti-storey shopping boardwalk positioned on Karachi’s Rashid Minhas Road, performing in the loss of 11 lives and leaving several individualities critically injured.
The blaze began on the fourth bottom, fleetly spreading to other situations of the boardwalk. Deliverance operations were hindered by the thick bank that percolated the structure, complicating sweats to reach those potentially trapped outside.

Despite these challenges, rescue officials successfully evacuated approximately 46 individuals from the perilous situation. However, concerns persist as additional people are believed to be still trapped within the mall.
The injured victims are currently being transported to a nearby hospital, with seven reported to be in critical condition, underscoring the severity of the incident.
To combat the blaze, two snorkels, eight fire tenders, and two bowsers were deployed, showcasing the extensive efforts of the emergency response teams.
Preliminary reports from fire brigade officials attribute the fire to an electricity generator installed on the rooftop.
The resultant inferno led to the destruction of numerous shops within the mall, and the local area experienced a suspension of electricity supply as a consequence.
